The Beginning

• Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI.  This is where I built the foundation of my architectural background, as well as enhanced my general ability to design.  I finished the five year Bachelors of Architecture and then went off to find a job in Boston, MA.  I grew up in this area and always wanted to work in the city.  I enjoy working with others and felt the city would have lots to offer.  It is my goal to work with a passionate team of people to learn and grow with.

Experience

• Graduated (2006) Straight out of school I began assisting a contractor with his drafting and 3d modeling needs.  He managed various jobs along the east coast and he didn't have anyone in the office with drafting or rendering capabilities so this was good experience for me to dive in and prove myself.  I worked with him for a few months until I got a job in Boston, MA.

• 2006-2008 I worked at DiGiorgio Associates Inc.  Their focus in the Healthcare industry forced me to learn many technical details I had never seen before.  I learned to work in high pressure situations where many deadlines were back to back and quality could never be sacrificed.

• 2008 I gave a presentation for the planning board in Stoughton, MA about their options for sustainable development.  I designed a sustainable cluster housing development in Stoughton and walked them through the different features and benefits they should consider.

Computer skills

• Highly skilled - AutoCAD 2004-2009, Sketchup 6, Podium, Photoshop, Fireworks, InDesign, Acrobat, Microsoft: Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  
• Familiar - Revit, Illustrator, Dreamweaver,

• General - I have good file and layer organization.  I can trouble shoot general computer problems and typically do not get frustrated by random computer errors.

General Skills

• Capable of multi-tasking and micro-tasking but I find it important to maintain focus on the "big picture" at all times.
  
• Thrive off of collaborative team work. Two heads are better than one.
  
• Welcome all challenges.  My belelif is that routine problem solving will help us grow and improves our thought processes.

Looking for...

• A position at an Architectural firm in Boston, MA.  I am willing to consider job opportunities in New York City as well.  I have two and a half years of experience; two years in the healthcare industry and six months experience with a mix of residential and commercial projects.
